Felicite Island in Seychelles is a private tropical haven! An ideal base for deep-sea fishing and island-hopping holidays, and popular, too, for family get-togethers and weddings. You can even, if you wish, book the entire island for your big day. Pick a mango, banana or orange for a snack as the gorgeous island is covered in dense vegetation, including exotic fruit trees. As Felicite is heavily forested, it is ideal for exploration and there are plenty of lovely beaches and interesting nooks and crannies to discover. The most attractive beach is situated only a few hundred metres from the bungalow accommodation.
Location: Felicite Island is located in the Seychelles, 3 km northeast of the island of La Digue.
Accommodation: The two traditional-style bungalows, one of two storeys, the other ground floor only, provide accommodation for a maximum of eight people. The two homes have been constructed with local woods, takamaka and bois noir, and their floors are covered with slate and tiles. The rooms have been luxuriously furnished and equipped with airconditioning, fans and a private bathroom to ensure the utmost comfort during your stay. There are also four A-frame bungalows on the island. Extra beds can be arranged for children.
Dining: Staff are on hand to cater to your every whim and Creole-style meals are served on the veranda of the larger bungalow, where the kitchen is also situated. All drinks are included in the price.
Activities & daytrips: Tennis court, diving, snorkelling, swimming pool, excursions to neighbouring islands or sailing (the island yacht with skipper is available to guests at all times), fishing, table tennis and an assortment of indoor games.
Best time to travel: The climate is pleasant and mild throughout the year. Temperatures range from 24° C to 33° C and are not subject to sharp variations. Windsurfing and sailing are best at the start and end of the trade winds, usually around May and October. Diving is best in March, April, May, September, October and November.
Getting there: Fly to Mahe airport on the main island, then take a further flight to the island of Praslin. Felicite is only a short sea voyage or helicopter flight away.
